On February 8, 1987, Tallahassee Police Investigator Cheryl Weigand, Homicide Detective Eric Witzig, Detective Jim Bradley Junior of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Police Department, FBI Agents Matt Pellegrino and Jim Whitaker, Dr. Samuel Moorer, Dr. Awad, Bill Nolan, and Jane Pattilla from Florida Health and Rehabilitative Services had a meeting to discuss The Finders case. They agreed that the children of The Finders should stay in their respective foster homes for the time being. It was decided that any reunion of The Finders children should occur later. Florida Health and Rehabilitative Services was given information about the potential parents of The Finders children and would be present at all interviews until Guardian Ad Litems for The Finders children were appointed.[1]
