In an article from March 12, 1987, Tallahassee Democrat reporter Rosalind Bentley wrote that three of the six Finders children were permanent custodial released to The Finders parents while the other three remained in custody until the March 23, 1987, custodial hearing. Leon County Juvenile Court Judge Victor Cawthon decided during a three-and-a-half-day closed juvenile court hearing. The three Finders children released to the custody of their Finders parents are B. B. Said, Honeybee Evans, and James Michael Holwell Junior. The Finders mothers, Tallahassee Attorney Paula Walborsky, stated to the Tallahassee Democrat that the Florida Health and Rehabilitative Services evaluated the six Finders children for sexual abuse, and there was not and if there was any evidence the children had been sexually abused that they would have never turned their custody over to their Finders parents. Florida Health and Rehabilitative Services Spokeswoman Connie Ruggles declined to comment about the current Finders case.[1]
