Investigator Cheryl Weigand was informed that the Leon County Sheriff’s Department had moved the children of the Finders Network to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office because of a bomb threat  called into an unlisted number at their previous location, a shelter known as the “Tree House.” Tallahassee Police Department Spokesman Scott Hunt told the Miami Herald, “The Tallahassee Police received half-dozen telephone calls from people saying physical harm was going to come to the children.” Hunt also stated that it was disturbing people were calling in death and bomb threats towards six very forlorn children in a sad state. Scott mentioned that it was a mystery how anyone got the phone number to the “Tree House” where the Finders children were staying.[1] [2]
