The Finders Network From The 1960s to 1987 According to Finders Network Member Tobe Terrell - Part 5
In October 1978, Marion Pettie told The Finders that it was time for them to expand operations globally. Pettie asked The Finders in the morning, “does anybody here want to be working toward a big vision?” Pettie suggested that The Finders take a van to San Francisco and set up “a new base” of operations. Finders members Barbara Sylvester, Tom Vibrose, Randolph Winn, and Jan Shapes take one of the vans and head toward San Francisco. Finders members Tobe Terrell, Diane Sherwood, Simon, and his then-girlfriend “Rose Ann Validson” take another van and head towards Denver, Colorado. While in Denver, they work for one of Simon’s connections, Leif Smith of the Denver Open Network. I could not find much information about Leif Smith. However, supposedly, Smith is credited for developing the term “weaver.”[1]
