Finders Operation leader Marion Pettie told the Finders members sometime after returning from Panama to pack their bags, leave the Washington D.C. W Street apartments with little resources, and travel in a game Pettie called “becoming as a little child.” Finders member Tobe Terrell traveled towards Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, because it was “unfamiliar territory.” In Pittsburgh, Terrell met Keith Ham, also known as Kirtanananda Swami, who was at the time a Hare Krishna guru and co-founder of the New Vrindaban Hare Krishna Community in Marshall County, West Virginia. Ham led the New Vrindaban Hare Krishna Community from 1968 to 1994. Keith Ham was eventually indicted by the United States government in 1990 on five counts of racketeering. Terry Sheldon, a New Vrindaban Hare Krishna Community member, was also charged with racketeering by the United States Government. There were also alleged allegations made against Ham that he was a pedophile. Ham was represented by Scientologist and former Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren. Remember, Susteren also “represented” Henry Vinson, the former Franklin Scandal Washington D.C. “Madam.” Ham was charged with six counts of mail fraud and conspiracy to murder two opponents within the New Age Hare Krishna movement (Stephen Bryant and Charles S. Denis) by the United States government. Ham threatened the lives of both Bryant and Denis because they had threatened Ham that they would reveal his alleged sexual abuse of minors. On March 29, 1991, Ham was convicted on nine of eleven charges (the jury failed to reach a verdict on the murder charges). Later a United States Court of Appeals, convinced by the arguments of defense attorney Alan Morton Dershowitz (who was paid three million dollars for his services), threw out Ham’s convictions, saying that the child molestation allegations had unfairly prejudiced the jury against Ham, who had not been charged with those crimes by the United States government.[1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10]
